Darby Felder M.S. CCC-SLP (Speech Pathologist)

Here is a little bit about Darby:


Darby graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with her bachelors and received her masters from The University of Texas at Dallas in Communication Disorders. She loves working with children and she is so excited to be the speech language pathologist for Rainbow Kidz. She has always had a passion for working with children, and she is so thankful to have found a career in which everyday she is doing something she loves. She has worked at a non-profit Early Childhood Intervention Center in Bellevue, a city outside of Seattle, Washington for 9 months while she was completing her Clinical Fellowship in Speech-Language Pathology. While she was there, she worked hands-on with families, providing parent education and one on one speech therapy and she also co-taught a language-rich preschool program with the classroom teacher.  She has served as a Speech Language Pathologist in the public schools for 3 years. During her first two years, she worked as the Speech therapist in the Preschool Program for Children with Disabilities (PPCD) and served the general education children who qualified for speech services. She also served as the Speech Therapist in a Communications Skills Classroom for children with severe Autism. Currently, she is working as the head of the Preschool Speech Language Program in which she teaches a Language Class and sees children on an individual and group basis. Darby works with children who have a variety of language delays and disorders, and she utilizes her knowledge of ABA, Verbal Behavior, and other language interventions to stimulate language and articulation skills. She strongly believes in a team approach to therapy, in which the family and Darby have open communication and work together to increase carry-over of each child’s skills from school and home. She strives to make speech therapy fun and meaningful for the children. In her free time, she loves to travel, read and spend time with friends and family.
